As I wait for the third edition of my book, “The Cruiser Friendly Onboard Guide to Alaska’s Inside Passage,” to be printed I will be hopping off the Navigator on May 26th in San Francisco. I will re-board June 30th and will stay until September 30th when I disembark in Tokyo. In my place during those first few weeks will be Dr. Robert Clarke whom many of you know. So far, the remainder of the year looks like I will be back on the Mariner for the last two legs of the Discovery Collection, Cape Town – Rio – Ft. Lauderdale. Then we begin our 2011 South America circumnavigation on January 11 – March 23rd. I honestly did not realize the last leg of the Discovery Collection was over Christmas and New Year; we may have to see about that as I have a standing date with my best friend and her husband over the holidays.
